Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2026

These terms govern your use of Rivercy's lead-capture service. By signing up for or using Rivercy, you agree to these terms.

The service

Rivercy provides a website widget that home service businesses embed on their own site to capture, triage, and route customer leads by email and text message. Rivercy is provided on a month-to-month subscription basis.

SMS notifications

By signing up for Rivercy, you agree to receive text message alerts at the phone number you provide when one of your leads is marked urgent. These are operational notifications, not marketing messages, and are a core part of how Rivercy delivers urgent leads to you. Message frequency depends on how many urgent leads you receive. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP to any Rivercy text at any time to opt out of SMS alerts — urgent leads will then be delivered by email only — or reply HELP for assistance.

Free trial

New accounts include a 14-day free trial. A valid payment card is required to start the trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your card is charged automatically, and billing recurs on that same calendar date every month after — for example, a trial ending on the 15th means you're billed on the 15th each month. In shorter months that don't have that date (for example, a trial ending January 31st), billing falls on the last day of that month instead.

Billing and cancellation

Your responsibilities

You're responsible for the accuracy of the business information you provide to Rivercy, and for responding to the leads Rivercy sends you in a timely and lawful manner. If you choose to contact a lead directly using your own phone or other means outside of Rivercy, you're responsible for complying with applicable telemarketing and messaging laws (including TCPA) for that outreach. Rivercy itself only emails your customers an automatic confirmation when they submit a request — we never text your customers directly.

Acceptable use

You agree not to provide false or misleading business information, to embed the Rivercy widget in a way that misrepresents your business, or to use Rivercy for any unlawful purpose. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.

Service availability

We aim to keep Rivercy available and reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance, third-party outages (including messaging carriers), or circumstances outside our control may occasionally affect availability.

Limitation of liability

Rivercy is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rivercy is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost business or lost leads, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months prior to the claim.

Changes to the service or these terms

We may update these terms or the service itself from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date above, and continued use of Rivercy after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
